Obstacle Racers

Obstacle Racers is your preferred source for everything Obstacle Course Racing. We provide race reviews, rankings, training articles, and event calendars so you can choose the best races, and subsequently crush them.

We are run entirely by obstacle racing participants and enthusiasts, and want others to experience the same love for the events that we share. Our mission is to support the growth of the obstacle racing movement by promoting great races.
We’re here to cut through the filler and get down to the basics:

  1. Insight into how you can train to crush the course and have the time of your life.
  2. Reviews to let you know which races to sign up for, and which ones still need some work.
  3. An incredibly comprehensive list of upcoming events in the U.S. What more could you want? It’s not like we’re going to run the races for you here (although some of us wouldn’t mind the challenge).

Welcome to ObstacleRacers.com… a racing and events site by racers, for racers.

What is Obstacle Course Racing?

Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) is an adventure-type race designed to specifically test a participant’s endurance and strength. Races differ from traditional adventure and running races in that they usually involve running intermixed with climbing, swimming, jumping, and sloshing through mud. As the years go on, it seems that more and more event organizers are seeing the potential of Obstacle Course Races.

For some, races are a great way to have fun with friends, drink beer and party. For others, it is a perfect way to test fitness and pure mental grit. No matter what your reasoning for running, we’ll sift through the races and not only help you defeat these brutal challenges but determine which ones are worth running, and which are worth staying away from.
